Eid-ul-Azha, one of the largest religious festivals of Muslims, will be celebrated on November 17 as the Zilhaj moon was sighted on Sunday.
The National Moon Sighting Committee announced that the moon was sighted in Bangladesh on Sunday. Hence, the Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on November 17 (Wednesday).
State Minister for Religious Affairs Mohammad Shajahan Mia who is also the president of the committee presided over the meeting. The meeting received information from different parts of the country about sighting of the new moon.
